From biodegradable fishing lures to cervical cancer screening solutions, 10 startups at the forefront of innovation have been selected for the next cohort of the Founder Residency program at Northeastern University’s Roux Institute in Portland.
The three-month-long accelerator supports early-stage tech startups with educational programming as well as mentorship, business services and legal counsel, all provided free of charge and without equity commitments.
“Every year, I am impressed with the quality of applications we receive for this program. It’s exciting to see the variety of solutions being built out there for problems that affect people around the globe,” said Santiago Zinel Mundet Cruz, the program’s director.
“We’re excited to welcome the next batch of companies moving to Maine for the next three months and to become a helpful part of their journey,” he added.
This year’s cohort members hail from three countries and three states, all developing technology-enabled solutions for a range of business challenges.
