Rowe Ford has just opened a new facility in Portland, exclusively to service commercial vehicles.
Owner Wally Camp told Mainebiz it’s the first of its kind in Maine and will be one of potentially 120 specialty service centers Ford intends to build across the U.S.
Previously owned by Allen & Coles moving company, the 47,300-square-foot building has 29 service bays, each with a high ceiling, which is essential for servicing large trucks and RVs.
Rowe Ford offers commercial vehicle service at its Auburn location, but Camp said the new building, at 75 Pine Tree Industrial Parkway, is significantly larger and has been renovated to accommodate many more vehicles at one time, of all makes and models.
“Tractor trailers, oil trucks, box trucks, dump trucks and F150s, 250s and 350s, too,” Camp said. “If a company has vans or smaller SUVs, we can work on those too.”

Camp purchased the 8-acre property from Allen & Coles in May 2025, for $7.23 million.
Selling points were he size of the building, its location near Maine Turnpike exit 47 and extensive open parking.
The service center is open from 7 a.m. to midnight, five days a week, and also offers mobile service and pick up and delivery.
Camp said he has a staff of 20 at the new facility but intends to bring on another 15 to 20. Combined employees for Rowe’s three locations — Portland, Auburn and Westbrook — is 260.
Great Falls Construction, based in Gorham, handled renovations, which took close to seven months. Portland’s Ryan Senatore Architecture handled the facility’s redesign.
Camp said they added two overhead doors and a ramp to facilitate drive-in, drive-out access, and some of the concrete floor had to be reconstructed to add drainage for cleaning.
Four refuse oil heaters were installed, along with a 5,000 holding tank, which Camp said he plans to use to burn used automotive oil to supply additional heat for the building.
