Rumford council supports casino

The three clowns who supported this concept have been in the pocket of Tom Carey for several years now. Under their leadership and moves, Rumford has gained lotsof negative press and exposure. Their support on this effort clearly shows that to one who has witnessed their actions over the recent past. Mr. Carey’s attempt to gain permission to place a gambling casino in Rumford will not be, in my opinion done by him or his one man company. Evergreen. What very well may happen and I think is the hopeful outcome of this group is to accomplish the following. Evergree led by Seth and a few more hopefuls, will do the footwork. The footwork is to promote, hopefully get the permissions and support of general population and secure a location. Along the way they will sell the idea that we, the people of this area, will be lavished with financial and economical benefits. The truth is that if they are successful in their attempt to get the ball rolling, they will sell their efforts for a lucrative profit to a company from away who has the ability to bring their marvelous dream to a reality. Then they no longer have a say in how things work or ultimately where profits go. This is all under the guise of economical development. It would not surprise me if many who stand behind them or support their efforts would stand to receive a piece of that sale profit.
