A new $12 million military contract will bring work to General Dynamics’ manufacturing plant in Saco.
The U.S. government awarded the contract to General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products, a business unit of Falls Church, Va.-based General Dynamics, for the production of the MK47 Striker40 Weapon System, a high-tech, lightweight grenade launcher. The production work will be completed at the company’s manufacturing plant in Saco, which it purchased in 2000 when it was known as Saco Defense.
