A General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products facility in Saco has been awarded a $37 million Army contract.
The former Saco Defense Corp., acquired in 2000 by the Charlotte, N.C.-based General Dynamics subsidiary, won a fixed-price contract to produce 3,048 M-2 machine guns for foreign military sales, the Associated Press reported. The work is to be completed by June 30, 2009.
