The future of Saddleback Maine ski resort is still uncertain after its owners announced in October that they were in negotiations with a prospective buyer.
Since making the announcement Oct. 8 on Facebook, the Rangeley ski resort has remained silent.
Boston.com reported that the ski resort wasn’t at the annual Ski and Snowboard Expo in Boston over the weekend and, when asked for an update, a ski resort official declined to reveal any details.
“As soon as we have something, you’ll get what you need,” Chris Farmer, Saddleback’s general manager, told Boston.com.
The future of the ski resort has been in doubt since its owners said in July that the mountain wouldn’t open for the upcoming season without $3 million in funding for a new central ski lift. It’s been on the market since 2012, when its owners listed the property for $12 million.
