The Senate has approved natural resources legislation that includes provisions to boost funding for Acadia National Park.
The U.S. Senate yesterday approved the Acadia National Park Improvement Act to reinstate the park’s advisory commission for 20 years and increase the amount the park can spend to buy land by $10 million, according to a press release. It also authorizes the Secretary of Interior to fund work on an off-island intermodal transportation facility.
The House of Representatives passed similar legislation in February.
