Smitty’s Cinema, a small “cinema pub” chain that has locations in Biddeford, Sanford and Windham, will open its fourth location in Maine by early summer next year.
The Forecaster reported that Smitty’s is among three businesses that will be moving into the Topsham Fair Mall in the coming months. Lamey-Wellehan shoes and Day’s Jewelers are planning to open there in December and February, respectively.
Tucker Smith, one of the theater chain’s owners, told the newspaper that the company, which offers dinner at all theater screenings, had been eyeing an expansion into Topsham for years, citing its proximity to Interstate 295 as the primary draw.
