BW Walch, an educational publishing company in South Portland, appointed Sean Lockwood as its next chief executive officer.
Lockwood succeeds Al Noyes, who served as CEO and will continue as chairman of the board, partnering closely with Lockwood to accelerate the company’s next phase of growth.

Lockwood’s career
In the new role, Lockwood will continue to expand access to its evidence-based math solutions while investing in innovation, service and strategic partnerships.
Lockwood brings more than 20 years of experience leading and growing education and professional services organizations. He has held leadership roles at TouchMath, Junior Library Guild, World Book, QSP Inc., Reader’s Digest and Independent Distributors.

Throughout his career, he has built high-performing teams, strengthened operational foundations, expanded market reach, and guided organizations through periods of strategic transformation.
Lockwood earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Concordia College.
