Phineas Sprague Jr., the owner of Portland Yacht Services, is proposing to expand his boatyard on Portland’s waterfront.
The Portland Press Herald reported that the proposal calls for a new 30,250-square-foot steel building on Commercial Street. The building would contain offices for the boatyard, a parts room and retail space for selling marine-related products.
The proposal has been handed to city staff for review. The city’s planning board has not yet scheduled a hearing date for the proposal.
