Maine’s population has grown slowly since 2010, according to U.S. Census figures released today.
The point-in-time survey estimates the nation’s population on July 1 of the last three years and shows Maine’s population inching up just one-tenth of a percent from 2010 to 2012.
The total U.S. population grew by about 1.4% over the same period; New England’s population grew about .6%.
For 2012, Maine’s population count is 1,329,192, up from 1,327,585 in 2010.
