Summer on the mountain: Sugarloaf ramping up bike park

Sugarloaf Mountain Resort, looking to expand its off-season attractions, launched its summer season with the opening of its Bike Park this past weekend.

The Bike Park is now open for weekend operations and will expand to Thursday to Sunday operations in July.

The park caters to mountain bikers of all levels with lift-served access, flow trails and technical terrain.

The bike park opened last year, but this season the resort is offering related perks.

This season, the Boyne-owned resort is promoting season passes with no blackout dates, “buddy” passes, a free ticket to sister resort Loon Mountain’s bike park, lessons, women’s mountain bike clinics and youth “gravity camps.” The resort also offers two free tickets for Ikon pass holders.
