Summit Natural Gas of Maine says it will spend $110 million in Phase 2 of the expansion of its natural gas pipelines in central and southern Maine next year.
The company announced in a press release that the second phase of its expansion will include further buildout of its $350 million natural gas pipeline in the Kennebec Valley and construction to provide natural gas service to the towns of Cumberland, Falmouth and Yarmouth.
The Portland Press Herald reported in January that Summit planned to spend around $72.5 million for the southern Maine project.
