S. Donald Sussman’s 24-condo project in Portland’s India Street neighborhood is on hold indefinitely.
The Portland Press Herald reported that Sussman cited unsuitable market conditions for the project, which advertises that 13 of the planned 24 condo units are currently under contract to be sold.
Tom Federle, Sussman’s real estate attorney, told the paper that the project has not set a construction date and will begin to re-evaluate the initial development proposal that received approval from the local planning board in September 2012.
