The upgrades:
  • The new Italian restaurant, La Bella Vita Ristorante and Enoteca Lounge, features rustic decor and materials from Italian kitchens such as copper, marble, wood and iron. The Enoteca Lounge sits adjacent to the restaurant and offers an antipasto bar and a wood-burning oven.
  • The spa has four treatment rooms, with one designated to accommodate couples treatments, and a nail salon. The spa also features a relaxation lounge and outdoor patio, affording guests a warm fire and ocean views.
  • Three new luxury guest cottages are similar to the recently renovated two-bedroom Flume Cottage. The three new cottages — named Wind Drift, Spring Tide and Sea Spray — form a collection of luxury guest cottages with views of Penobscot Bay and Breakwater Lighthouse.
