Thomas College inks partnership with Bethel boarding school

Thomas College in Waterville has partnered with Bethel’s Gould Academy to extend professional and graduate education.

Employees of Gould Academy, an independent boarding school, will be eligible for a tuition discount on graduate courses and programs, extending opportunities for faculty to continue their education and pursue advanced degrees.

The partnership will offer discounts to more than 120 Gould employees.

“At Gould Academy, our faculty, as lifelong learners, are always seeking to improve their craft,” said Ben Kamilewicz, dean of academics at Gould Academy.

Thomas College’s preferred employer partnership program began in 2022 and now has more than 20 employer partnerships throughout the state and internationally.

Employer partners get one free class and a 10% discount on all additional courses.

“Maine’s academies are essential to the future of our state, and Thomas College’s graduate programs help elevate their leadership in education,” said Megan Aube, the associate director of graduate enrollment at Thomas College. “By increasing affordability, this partnership will meaningfully strengthen our community of students and educators.”

Thomas College is a career-focused private college founded in 1864. It offers programs in the arts and sciences, business and education.

Thomas College ranks No. 17 among Maine’s largest colleges and universities in the 2026 Mainebiz Book of Lists, based on full-time undergraduate enrollment of 672 in fall 2025.
