A night of food trucks in Wells later this month will help raise money for the Center for Grieving Children.
Congdon’s After Dark, a seasonal food truck park at Congdon’s Doughnuts in Wells, will feature the Portland nonprofit as its Tithing Tuesday beneficiary from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
The Tithing Tuesday program regularly partners with local nonprofits, allowing organizations to raise money while connecting with the community.
Participating food trucks will donate 10% of their net sales that evening to the Center, which provides free grief support services to children, teens, young adults and families.
The event will be held at 1090 Post Road. Admission is free and no registration is required.
The Center for Grieving Children, which offers support to families who have lost loved ones, is led by Executive Director Gretchen Johnson, who took over the role in March 2024. The center is located in Portland and Sanford and also offers virtual programming. Its services are provided at no cost to participants and are supported by community donations.
