A Mount Desert Island developer is proposing a 40-unit townhouse-style housing project for 70 acres on Route 3 in Trenton.
The Ellsworth American reported that the project, which was to be reviewed by the town’s planning board Wednesday night, would be entirely rental units, each having three bedrooms.
The newspaper reported that Tim Gott of Southwest Harbor plans to build the project, if approved, in two phases.
Gott’s engineer, Greg Johnston of G.F. Johnston & Associates in Southwest Harbor, said the project is intended to meet the region’s need for “some moderately priced housing.”
