Fundraising events/Opportunities

Operation: Brew & ‘Que: Help raise money for Maine’s Veterans at Stars & Stripes Brewing Co. in Freeport on Oct. 5, 2023! Grab a bite to eat from Rollin’ Smoke BBQ and listen to live music performed by the Dapper Gents. Buy tickets or learn about sponsorship opportunities at www.brewquemaine.org.

Giving Opportunities

In 2024, VOA’s Camp POSTCARD celebrates 30 years of providing Maine kids with a free weeklong summer camp adventure. Since 1994, partnering with Maine’s law enforcement community, Camp POSTCARD has given thousands of deserving kids the chance to experience a fun-filled camp with police officers volunteering as camp counselors. Kids try new things with the support and guidance of caring officers, trust is built and the officers learn about the kids in their communities. Life-long friendships are forged. As adults, kids who attended camp have sent their kids to camp, returned as counselors and pursued careers as first responders. You can ensure that future generations of kids will be able to attend by donating to the Camp POSTCARD Endowment Fund. Visit CampPOSTCARD.com for more information.

Volunteer Opportunities

Group opportunities are available for businesses to volunteer at VOA’s affordable housing properties. Whether it’s to improve the grounds around facilities (landscaping, painting and cleaning) during the fall and spring, days of caring or activities with older adults, let us know how you want to help.
