The Science Source, a Waldoboro-based manufacturer, has moved operations south after being purchased by a Florida-based company in early August.
The Lincoln County News reported that the company’s new owner, Science First, has offered to relocate nearly all of the company’s 25 workers to its headquarters in Yulee, Fla. All of the company’s inventory and assets have already been relocated.
Science First said in a statement to the newspaper that it moved the Waldoboro-based company’s inventory and assets because it would have been too difficult to operate two locations that are located far away from each other.
