2026 Goals

Our goals for the upcoming fiscal year include thoughtful and strategic growth of many core programs, including our children’s services and adult case management. Our unique remote technology program, which provides in-home sensors, camera and assistive technology, continues to grow as we expand the populations we serve to include older adults and those with brain injury. In addition, we anticipate revenue growth across the organization as we leverage our resources to provide quality, person-centered services across a wider swath of southern Maine. As always, Waypoint’s goals include greater efficiency, excellence in care, and a satisfied, well-compensated workforce.

Fundraising events/Opportunities

• Waypoint’s Music Fest is our foremost fundraising event. In June 2026, we’ll continue our live music event, centered on our beautiful waterfront and featuring food trucks, a beer garden and great vibes. This important fundraiser benefits Waypoint Maine’s services, including Fraser Ford School and Children’s and Adult services.

• Every September Waypoint Maine hosts its annual Golf Tournament. In 2026, we’ll host our 15th annual tournament to support Waypoint Maine’s athletes at the Maine Special Olympics.

Funding ensures that children and adults with intellectual disabilities continue to thrive, and financial support provides increased access to community activities which promote health, fitness, and overall wellbeing.

Volunteer Opportunities

Annually, our volunteers log hundreds of hours maintaining Waypoint Maine’s campus, which includes handicapped-accessible trails, a historic waterfront area and playgrounds at our Fraser Ford School. Numerous volunteers, many through area businesses seeking to give back, lend their time to weed, rake and mulch to help maintain our trails and grounds. Contact us at connect@waypointmaine.org to check out our volunteering opportunities.
