Wellspring

2025 Goals

  • Expand the scope and reach of client support and referral services that we offer.

  • Improve access to treatment and support services for people in our community.

  • Maximize the quality of treatment and support services for the people we serve.

  • Increase the public’s understanding of the disease of addiction and co-occurring mental health illnesses.

Events/Opportunities

Each September Wellspring hosts the Annual Race for Recovery – A 5K walk/run family event to raise awareness and decrease stigma associated with the Disease of Addiction and Co-Occurring Mental Illness. Community businesses and individual donors are encouraged to sponsor the event and join the community festivities with tabling events or by entering teams for some healthy fun competition! Live music and great speakers! Always a fun morning event!

Giving Opportunities

Wellspring’s annual giving campaign runs from Thanksgiving through the end of the year. This is a wonderful time for individuals and businesses to support the organization through financial gifts of any amount or to support a specific program or need in the organization.

Additionally, gifts may be made in memory of any loved one, past or present, who may have struggled with the disease. In-kind gifts are always especially welcome and we are so grateful for opportunities to forge new relationships with businesses who care about the mission of Wellspring.

Presently we are looking for financial or in-kind gifts (or sponsorship) for the following:

• Replace/upgrade the furnishings in our residential programs. We want our programs to be comfortable and attractive and it’s been almost a decade since we’ve asked for the community’s help. Those comfy chairs and sofas have held a lot of people while they bravely made their way towards healing and recovery over the years.

• New Computers: Wellspring puts a lot of miles on each computer agency wide that is used to manage everything from fiscal and program accountability to maintaining accurate medical and behavioral health records. We have many computers that are approaching their end of life.

• Emergency generators for our Detox Building and our three residential properties. Evacuating very sick people who are withdrawing from alcohol and substance use disorder is not good practice, and neither is moving mothers who come to residential treatment with their infants and toddlers. We need the community’s help!

Volunteer Opportunities

We love our volunteers! There are many areas to provide service to Wellspring – everything from serving on the Board of Directors or a sub-committee to volunteering at the Annual Race for Recovery event or helping to increase organizational awareness by staffing tables at community events. Maybe you have an idea we haven’t thought of? Have some time to give? We’d love to hear from you!
