Westbrook kitchen countertop supplier opens expanded showroom

Blue Rock Industries has opened a three-story product showroom at its Westbrook headquarters, a project that cost just over $3.5 million.

The 11,000-square-foot facility, at 737 Spring St., features racks of stone and tile samples, full-size panels and built counters featuring a range of richly colored granites and marbles.

The third floor contains a large, high-ceilinged meeting room for company training and events, along with a kitchen and bath showcasing the company’s product range.

“Our goal was to build a destination showroom for both tile and granite that would cater to designers, architects and developers,” Stephen Hinman, president of Blue Rock Industries, told Mainebiz.

The project has been in the works since 2019 but was slowed down during the pandemic. Builders broke ground in early 2025.

“Getting everything under one roof so the customer had access to the complete process was our mission — and I believe we have accomplished that,” Hinman said.

More about the project

Contractors included Windham-based Wyman Electric, Westbrook’s own Les Wilson & Sons and Portland-based Jimino’s Plumbing & Heating.

The new building replaces a showroom that dated to 1986, though the original 4,000-square-foot structure will remain on the property and may be repurposed.

Blue Rock Industries began serving Maine’s construction industry in 1920. In 1987, the firm began supplying flooring options, countertops, tiles and installation services.
