The Yarmouth Chamber of Commerce has chosen a Freeport native to replace Executive Director Carolyn Schuster, who stepped down recently after serving in that position for 17 years.
The Forecaster reported that Andrew Smaha will start on Aug. 24. He most recently served as conference director for Smither’s Information in Falmouth.
“We were very impressed by his diverse experience in business development anchored in the events industry, his professional, systems-oriented approach to running an organization, his sincere passion for building strong Maine communities and his vision for the town of Yarmouth,” Brian Bartlett, the chamber board’s president, said in a statement.
