Peter Van Allen

Peter has more than three decades of experience as a business journalist, working for a range of media companies. He has been a staff reporter or business editor at the Courier-Post, a Gannett newspaper in New Jersey; the Post-Tribune, which was then a Knight-Ridder newspaper, in Gary, Ind.; American Banker, a Thomson Reuters trade publication in New York City; and Philadelphia Business Journal, which is owned by American City Business Journals/Newhouse. As a freelancer, he has contributed stories and photos to the New York Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, WoodenBoat, Small Boats Monthly, Rowing News and the Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Gazette, which he delivered on a paper route as kid. He has three kids and lives with his wife, Jennifer, and family in Yarmouth.
