Every year, Mainebiz celebrates outstanding female leaders in our annual Women to Watch Awards, a program we launched 15 years ago. The nomination deadline is Monday, June 26.

MaineWorks and Rock Row were among the award winners at the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce's annual Imagine Portland event.

ERA Dawson Bradford Co. was also named as a Gold Company within ERA, placing the agency in the top 50 agencies for ERA nationally. 

Winners represent sectors from farming to janitorial services. Shannon Kinney, founder and chief client success officer at Dream Local Digital, a Thomaston-based digital marketing agency, was the keynote speaker at last week's SCORE awards luncheon.

Craig Larrabee began his career at JMG as a classroom specialist in 1993, the same year JMG was founded. He was named president and CEO by JMG's board of directors in 2005.

Nominations for the Institute for Family-Owned Business awards are due June 30 and will honor enterprises that go the extra mile.

The award, for racial, ethnic, or gender issue coverage, was one of three that went to Mainebiz in the 2022 New England Better Newspaper Competition.

Croft, which makes carbon-negative prefab buildings for residential and commercial use, plans to use its $25,000 prize money to launch an apprentice program.

Maine's seven winners span products from beer to chocolate. The annual awards are given by San Francisco-based Good Food Foundation to celebrate, connect and empower makers of tasty and authentic food.

Allagash Brewing was the mid-sized winner in the inaugural Keg Champion Awards.
