Westbrook Development Corporation is partnering with the city of Biddeford to build a 40-unit affordable housing complex — the first phase of the nonprofit’s broader housing development plan for Biddeford.
About 115 units of affordable housing will be added to the Westbrook market in late summer and early fall, with Westbrook Development Corp.'s Stacy M. Symbol Apartments complex and the Stroudwater Apartments.
While there are plenty of challenges this year — including higher interest rates, continued high construction and materials costs and the threat of recession — most of the larger construction companies have work booked well into next year.
A topping off ceremony is held at 201 Federal St., a boat club finds winter storage inland, an Old Port hotel is dedicated and an engineering firm will have a short move to its new space.
