The auction is expected to take place on-site at the camping resort on Thursday, March 5, at 1 p.m., at 277 Mills Road, U.S. Route 9 in Kennebunkport. 

A long vacant Smitty’s movie theater at the former Five Points shopping plaza on Alfred Road in Biddeford has been repurposed as an indoor sports center with pickleball courts, golf simulator bays and a sports bar.

A former Planet Fitness location in the Five Points plaza in Biddeford is now Orange Circuit Fitness, which is one of the revamped shopping center's newest tenants.

The collaboration will create internship placements, applied classroom projects and industry-informed learning experiences for students of all majors interested in learning more about the hospitality sector and gaining work experience.

The former movie theater included six separate screening rooms that are perfect fits for pickleball courts; two smaller screen rooms will house sports simulator bays.

The project preserved the original structure and added 15 cottages and 17 spa suites with terraces. Features include custom wallpaper, furniture and fixtures.

Maine-based hotel management company Atlantic Hospitality has hired three new members to its executive team. 

The third-generation cottage-style lodging listed for $15 million. The buyer plans to spend $10 million for renovations.

A vacant downtown building may be converted into a hotel, but the luxury lodging faces some hurdles. And oh yes, Biddeford already has one.
