"We've never had a space of our own to just open the doors and host guests, so by adding this incredible space to our operation, our goal is to add events throughout the year right here in our home," said Amy Caramante, who heads up communications for Big Tree.
Just in time for summer, the Higgins Beach Market has been rebuilt from the ground up. It is operated by Big Tree Hospitality, which owns several Portland restaurants and two other markets, in Falmouth and South Freeport.
Big Tree Hospitality, owner of the Higgins Beach Market and other neighborhood stores, plans to tear down the existing market and rebuild over the winter.
