All Central Maine Healthcare hospital sand facilities will retain their current names and local leadership under the ownership of Prime Healthcare Foundation.

As part of the agreement, the buyer has pledged to invest $150 million in Central Maine Healthcare facilities over the next five years.

Numerous businesses have taken to social media to announce closures and support, many schools have canceled classes for the day, and Hannaford Supermarkets has delayed opening its Maine stores.
