Franklin Savings Bank

A number of banks across Maine, looking to right-size their footprint and leverage market opportunities, have been retooling their real estate portfolios, with properties bought and sold along with renovations and new construction.

Sarah Baker, who has been with the bank for 24 years, was named a vice president and loan servicing and collections officer.

Franklin Savings Bank, based in Farmington, has offices in Ellsworth, Farmington, Jay, Rangeley, Rumford, Skowhegan, Wilton and inside Mt. Blue High School.

Franklin Savings Bank, which is based in Farmington, previously had a loan-production office in Ellsworth. This is its first full-service branch in the Downeast region.

Bernice Cote, a 30-year employee at the Farmington-based bank, has been named vice president and learning and development director.

Past awardees used the grants for needs such as restaurant equipment and oak brewing barrels and to hire an artist for logo design.

Rich Allen plans to retire after over 23 years as the vice president and senior commercial loan officer at Franklin Savings Bank’s Rumford branch.
