A roundup of new hires, promotions and achievements at businesses, nonprofits, health care institutions and professional services firms in Maine.

Denis St. Peter will retire as president and CEO following more than 17 years at the helm. His successor, Travis Noyes, comes from within. They will work together to support the transition.

With the latest deal, Haley Ward now has Florida offices in West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, Stuart, Melbourne and, on the Gulf Coast, Fort Myers.

The deal will expand landscape architecture services across the Southeast and expand Haley Ward's growing Florida operations.

This year's notable deals include the acquisition of Belfast's Front Street Shipyard by a Blackstone-backed marina operator, and hammond Lumber's purchase of Ware-Butler.

The project expanded a compact lobby into the parking garage. New features include expansive windows, a covered entry and a clubroom with a kitchenette.
