Maine Arts Commission

A roundup of new hires, promotions and achievements at Maine businesses, nonprofits, health care institutions and professional services firms.

The Maine Arts Commission has hired Amy Hausmann as its new executive director.

More than $110 million was directed toward arts organizations around the country, including nearly $1.2 million for Maine arts programs.

“We have a proven and skilled person at the helm, and we want to give him the chance to complete what he has just begun to build,” said Commission Chairman David Hopkins of David Greenham, who most recently served as the commission's interim executive director.

The $5,000 fellowships recognize artistic excellence and aim to advance to the careers of Maine artists.
