As Mainebiz gets ready to celebrate 2026’s Business Leaders of the Year for their accomplishments and contributions to Maine’s economy, we checked in with some of last year’s honorees to ask about their leadership advice for this year’s winner

The Levee, a Biddeford development, was one of four recipients of GrowSmart Maine’s eighth annual Maine Smart Growth Awards. 

Mainebiz is honored to present the 2025 Mainebiz Business Leaders of the Year. These 10 individuals span various industries, including the nonprofit sector. 

As volunteers were putting on the finishing touches at 75 Bacon St. in Biddeford, Mainebiz stopped by to see the progress and checked back in after the center opened.

My Place Teen Center, a nonprofit based in Westbrook, is renovating a former church in Biddeford at an expected cost of $3.7 million.
