Belfast parcel that was rejected for aquaculture site will become conservation land

The buyer is the conservation group Penobscot Bay Waterkeeper, which paid Nordic Aquafarms Inc. $1.5 million for the site.

Conservation group to buy Nordic Aquafarms land in Belfast

Nordic Aquafarms earlier this year abandoned its proposal to build a land-based salmon farm at the site and listed the 53.9 acres for $2 million.
