The Maine Gambling Control Unit has fined a New York fantasy sports betting company $391,850 for taking "pick 'em" wagers, according to an industry publication.
In the nine months ending Sept. 30, Maine’s two casinos, Oxford Casino and Hollywood Casino in Bangor, had revenue of $49.76 million, a decline of 54.91%. Maine's revenue losses ranked No. 4 among the 24 states with casinos.
Under his ownership, Oxford Plains Speedway became one of the country's most popular venues for short-track auto racing. Bahre also led the development of shopping centers and homes across Maine, and was a prominent backer of Oxford Casino.
