Hebert Construction’s renovation of Lewiston’s 19th century Dr. Milton Wedgewood House was “a labor of love,” according to COO Simon Hebert.

The venue — with 35‑foot ceilings, factory windows and floral design studio — can host 600 guests inside and 200 guests on a new riverfront covered patio.

Construction on the project began in October 2025. The first residents will move in when the first phase is completed in early 2027 and the entire build is anticipated to be finished by the start of 2028.

The Levee, a Biddeford development, was one of four recipients of GrowSmart Maine’s eighth annual Maine Smart Growth Awards. 

Construction of the 51-unit apartment building, to be called Lofts North, is coming in at $12 million and is expected to wrap up by August 2026.

The $87.8 million affordable housing development will replace a surface parking lot on the corner of Elm and Oxford streets. It's a joint project between Avesta Housing and Reveler Development.

Biddeford Mayor Marty Grohman said the city wants more such projects — housing that connects people to jobs, downtown businesses, walking trails and each other.
