Rockport Marine built the yacht Ouzel to the specifications of Langan Design Partners, of Newport, R.I., with interior design by Mark Whiteley Design, of Lymington, U.K.

While the yacht Ouzel was designed in Newport, R.I., it is the expertise brought by a Rockport boatyard that is getting the vessel ready for the high seas.

The vessel, which Rockport Marine expects to complete this fall, has been years in the making and positions the boatyard to better take on European rivals.
