A week after the Travis Mills Foundation acquired the Derby Estates apartment complex, the new owner plans to evict the tenants. “We are still in shock right now," one tenant told Mainebiz. "This whole situation is kind of overwhelming for us."

The foundation has over 100 people on the waiting list for its Warrior PATHH program, which is designed to help combat veterans and first responders transform struggle into strength and growth.

Mainebiz recognized nine Business Leaders of the Year, including a Lifetime Achievement Award for Dana Connors, and five Women to Watch in 2023.

Participants will pull an 80-ton FedEx plane to raise money for post-911 veterans and their families served by the Travis Mills Foundation. Last year the event raised $270,000.

The race will be held Sunday, May 28, at Brunswick Landing, with proceeds to be used for programming at the Travis Mills Foundation.

The 2023 Business Leaders of the Year are Dana Connors, Habib Dagher, Tim Harrington, Amina Hassan, Drew Lyman, Travis Mills, Leigh Saufley, Margo Walsh and Tom Watson.
