University Credit Union has opened its newest branch and loan operations center in Saco, at 4 Community Drive and 1001 Portland Road/U.S. Route 1.

Orono-based University Credit Union has hired Mandy Austin as vice president of finance.

This will be the credit union's first entry into the Saco market. The intention is to use the space for existing loan operations center in Scarborough and as a retail presence with video teller technology.

Orono-based University Credit Union has hired Lauren Cornelio to its team of community engagement managers. 

Located at 67 Sewall St., the new branch will be staffed by two full-time employees. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 23, at noon.
