University of Maine at Presque Isle

The joint program offers a fully online pathway from medical laboratory technician to medical laboratory science and the state’s only bachelor’s degree in this field.

The gift, from the estate of the late Donald and Linda Zillman, could fund scholarships and/or building improvements. Donald Zillman was a president of UMPI and also served as dean of Maine Law.

Touted as a first-of-its-kind for adult learners, the degree will be offered by the University of Maine at Farmington and delivered through the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s existing online program called YourPace.

A local nonprofit agency serving adults with intellectual disabilities has agreed to purchase the 15,500-square-foot building for $525,000.

The largest object in the solar system will be represented via a new 3D model, 20 years in the making at the University of Maine at Presque Isle.
