The funding will allow the Biddeford-based university to invest in specialized equipment for use by researchers, companies and institutions across the region.

The Shaw Institute of Public and Planetary Health, announced on Earth Day, aims to reinforce the school's role as a hub for collaboration, research and workforce development.
