Mainebiz is proud to introduce a new awards program recognizing the professionals, organizations, and business leaders whose work strengthens Maine’s nonprofit sector and the communities it serves.

The Mainebiz Community Impact Awards will honor nonprofit leaders and organizations making a lasting difference across the state, while also celebrating the corporations and business leaders who meaningfully support, collaborate with, and invest in Maine’s nonprofits. Together, these honorees represent the power of partnership in driving positive, measurable impact.

Winners will be recognized at an awards luncheon on Tuesday, June 10, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn by the Bay in Portland. Award recipients will also be featured in the June 15 issue of Mainebiz, highlighting their work for a statewide business audience.

Nominations Now Open

Nominations are open now through April 26, across the following categories:

• Corporate Champion of the Year
  Recognizes a for-profit organization for its significant impact on one or more nonprofit organizations through financial support, organized fundraising efforts, company-sponsored programs, and employee engagement in volunteerism.

• Legacy of Service
  Honors a leader whose lifelong commitment to service—through volunteerism, board leadership, mentorship, and philanthropy—has made a profound and lasting difference across Maine’s nonprofit community.

• In-Kind Services Support
  Recognizes a company or individual providing pro bono or in-kind services, such as professional expertise, materials, or skills-based volunteering, that help a nonprofit advance its mission.

• Volunteer of the Year
  Celebrates an individual whose exceptional dedication, leadership, and impact as a volunteer have strengthened a nonprofit’s mission and long-term sustainability.

• Nonprofit Collaboration of the Year
  Honors outstanding partnerships between nonprofit organizations that demonstrate innovation, shared resources, and measurable impact in addressing a critical community need.

• Campaign Excellence
  Recognizes a nonprofit organization that executed an especially effective capital, operational, endowment, marketing, or advocacy campaign in 2025.

This new awards program is presented in partnership with Maine Association of Nonprofits and reflects Mainebiz’s ongoing commitment to spotlighting leadership, collaboration, and innovation across Maine’s nonprofit and business communities.
