Maine Connectivity Authority Hosts Back-to-School Info Session on Tech Help Resources and Low-Cost Devices

As students and educators across Maine head back to school, technology remains a critical part of learning for kids and adult learners alike. To help ensure no one gets left behind, Maine Connectivity Authority is hosting a free virtual info session on the resources available to Maine people this school year.

“Just in Time for Back to School: Tech Help Resources and Low-Cost Devices” will take place virtually Monday, August 17, 2026, from 1:00–2:00 p.m. The session will highlight Tech Help for ME, MCA’s resource for finding public WiFi, digital skills classes, and other support, along with information on how qualified individuals can access a low-cost computer for their studies.
Hosted in partnership with give IT. get IT., the session is designed with the state’s “helpers” in mind: school staff, non-profits, libraries, workforce programs, and anyone working to connect their community to available resources.

What attendees will learn:
How to use Tech Help for ME to find public WiFi, digital skills classes, and other tech support resources near them
How qualified individuals can access a low-cost computer through Maine Connectivity Authority’s device programs
How helpers (school staff, non-profits, libraries, and workforce programs) can connect the people they serve to these resources ahead of the new school year
