Penobscot Community Health Care plans to close its Adult Wellness Center in Bangor later this year after its President and CEO warned that the organization's financial future is at serious risk.
The Portland-based nonprofit cultural hub and member-supported library, selected George Jreije from 51 applicants for the year-long residency, which begins Sept. 22.
“Horses are tucked away in backyards and down private dirt roads, so it’s really hard to know how bad the situation can be. It continues to be an issue,” said the society’s director.
