MEREDA's spring conference, focused on solving Maine's housing crisis, covered a lot of ground. YIMBY, short for "Yes in My Backyard," is a pro-housing movement that sprung up in response to NIMBY.
MEREDA's spring conference will be Thursday, May 25. The keynote speaker will be Sonja Trauss of the San Francisco housing advocacy group, Yes in My Back Yard.
The General Services Administration leased 5,282 square feet of space at 707 Sable Oaks in South Portland. It will be used by the Department of Veterans Affairs for a Vet Center.
