The awards, announced Friday by the Alliance of Area Business Publishers, were for editorial coverage and design in 2024.

Mainebiz Art Director Matt Selva took home two second place awards in the 2025 New England Better Newspaper Competition.

Winners of the 2023 Better Newspaper Competition, sponsored by the New England Newspaper and Press Association, were announced at a gala dinner March 23 in Waltham, Mass.

Art Director Matt Selva won three awards, including two for a Jimmy Stewart-themed cover in 2023, while Mainebiz Senior Writer Renee Cordes won one award, in the 2023 New England Better Newspaper Competition.

The awards, for Art Director Matt Selva and Senior Writer Renee Cordes, were announced by the Alliance of Area Business Publishers at its summer conference in Detroit.
