Maine banks and credit unions — including Saco & Biddeford Savings, the Country Federal Credit Union, M&T Bank, Maine Savings Federal Credit Union and Androscoggin Bank — have seen a slew of significant personnel changes.

The County, ranked No. 7 among the largest Maine-based credit unions, has appointed Brad Wolverton as its next chief financial officer.

Dr. Jay Reynolds, who has served as the senior physician executive at the hospital for several years, has been filling the role of interim president for the hospital since July 1.

Tyler Player, who founded Player Design Inc. in Presque Isle in 2008, added Ashland log manufacturer MaineFlame Inc. in 2020 and acquired fabrication shop K-Pel Industrial Services Inc. in Fort Fairfield in 2022. MaineFlame is now planning a $7 million expansion to add the production of steam-exploded wood pellets for heating and industrial power needs domestically and overseas.

The funds will be distributed to towns and cities that have seen economic impacts on affordable housing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
