Among other news, the Saco River Corridor Commission will meet Aug. 28 to discuss a proposal by the University of New England to build a pier on the Saco River.
The conversion of the LP Houlton mill included adding a 90,000-square-foot facility to produce siding, and was driven by market growth in the home construction, repair and remodeling markets.
