State agencies and local businesses are stepping up to help Penobscot McCrum and its 138 employees, following a fire Thursday that gutted the potato processing plant in Belfast.
The protected lands range from a community forest in Woodstock to the headwaters of the Kennebago River to a deer wintering habitat in Aroostook County.
The communities, in three different corners of the state, will develop climate change resilience plans that can be used by any town or city to make adapting to climate challenges more uniform.
The Aroostook County-based Pines Health Services has been awarded a $200,000 Small Health Care Provider Quality Improvement grant through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
